Thanks for posting this. I’ve been looking for somewhere to get some pre-reading matching cards. This place has a few. Do you have any recommendations for other places? Are you doing many language activities with your middle one? We’ve been doing a lot of memory card matching, just going over names of things in the house, etc. but not much more…

Are you doing Karen’s albums? She has dozens of pre-reading activities, and then the “pink” reading ideas (which I’m not really doing her way.) For actual reading work, I really think the main task to work on at age 2-3 is the letter sounds. For this we use sandpaper letters (lower case) and other types of letter books. Each morning with the 2 year old we spend about 1 minute on 3 different letters, using 3-part lessons.
